Atlanta, USA (January 11 - 13, 2008)

The ATLANTA DITC conducted the 1st National Team Handball Tryout in over 7 years.  Five athletes from California, Texas, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey flew/drove to Atlanta to attend the 3 days Tryout.

On
January 13, 2008, U..S. Congresswoman Diane WATSON (serving California’s 33rd District which includes Culver City, portions of the City of Los Angeles, and unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County) came to the John H. Lewis Student Athletics Center of Morris Brown College (MBC) to meet the Men's National Players, and the 5 Tryout athletes including one from her District. Since 2004, Congresswoman Dine WATSON has been a staunch support of the ATLANTA DITC.  During the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, she attended the unveiling by Prince Albert of MONACO of DITC’s 1st Olympic painting at VISA Olympians Reunion Center at the historic Athens Tennis Club by the Temple of Zeus.

Congresswoman WATSON is lending her full support in helping ATLANTA DITC's rehabilitation efforts of the
John H. Lewis Student Athletics Center t Morris Brown College (MBC).
