The DITC ceremony with the unveiling of a DITC painting by Steve R. ALLEN was very well attended. There were representatives from 17 Olympic Committees, 2 SPORTS Ministers from Africa, US Congresswoman Diane WATSON and a group of 7 people traveling with the Congresswoman, DeKalb County CEO Vernon JONES, DITC Board Member and WOA Secretary General Dr. Liston BOCHETTE, DITC Board Members Mr. Robert STULL and Mr. Amadou Dia BA, a large group of Olympians, and our very special DITC Co-Founder Prince Albert of MONACO.

The painting (see picture) depicts the four main sports venues offered at the DITC: track & field, swimming, tennis and cycling. The painting celebrates the DITC as the Living legacy to the 1996 Olympic Games and the future leading to the 2008 Beijing Games.

Steve ALLEN is the Official Artist in Residency at the DITC, as well as USOC Official Artist. More information on Steve R. ALLEN can be found at http://www.steverallen.com
