Mr. Meliton SANCHEZ RIVAS (R) awarded ATLANTA DITC's Silver Medal to the the British Virgin Islands 4x400m women relay Team: Darnetia ROBINSON, Samantha JOHN, Ashley KELLY, and Tarikah WARNER

On May 24, 2008, IOC Member Melitón SÁNCHEZ RIVAS attended the 5th Edition of the ATLANTA DeKalb International Prep Classic on the campus of GA Tech, and awarded ATLANTA DITC medals as well.
Mr. Melitón SÁNCHEZ RIVAS also met with the principals of the ATLANTA DITC while in ATLANTA to discuss ATLANTA DITC's contribution in training respectively Youth and Senior athletes preparing for the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) of 2010 in Singapore, and the 2010 LONDON Olympic Games.

Mr. Meliton SANCHEZ RIVAS awarded ATLANTA DITC's medals to the 3 4x400m Relay Teams: Gold to the Starkville TC from Mississippi, Silver to the Quicksilver TC of Georgia, and Bronze to the Track Eastern TC of North Carolina.
