The 5th edition of the ATLANTA CLASSIC, the best ever, offered once again quality athletic competition for high school women and men from the United States and other nations. New records were established, including a new national record for the British Virgin Islands (BVI).
International Olympic Committee (IOC) Member Mr. Melitón SÁNCHEZ RIVAS from PANAMA attended the ATLANTA CLASSIC and also visited the ATLANTA DITC.
Since 2004, over a 1,000 athletes from 16 nations including the USA have competed in the ATLANTA CLASSIC. For results and pictures of the 2008 ATLANTA CLASSIC check http://www.dekalbclassic.us
