Pan American Games Team Handball Qualifying Matches
Santiago, Chile (April 4 - 8, 2007)
By loosing 26 to 36 to the Chilean Team, the US Team did not qualify for the 2008 Pan American Games. This loss further demonstrate the critical nature of having a permanent training base at the DITC for the Team Handball Men's National Team.
During this visit to Chile, DITC CEO Dr. Gutekunst met with Hector Hernandez, Senior Vice President of the Pan American Team Handball Federation (PATHF) to discuss the possibility of hosting in Atlanta the 2008 Pan American Team Handball Championships.
