Hours after the ANOCA's elections: Dr. Marc Daniel GUTEKUNST with General Lassana PALENFO, President, Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA)

Accra, Ghana (June 17 - 18, 2005)

In 2003, Atlanta's DITC was invited for the first time to attend an ANOCA General Assembly. In 2005, three DITC Board Members attended the ANOCA GA: Charlie BATTLE, Mr. Amadou DIA BA, and Dr. Marc Daniel GUTEKUNST. General Lassana PALENFO, IOC Member, President, NOC Côte d'Ivoire was elected President of ANOCA. General PALENFO, friend of Atlanta's DITC stated his formal support of Atlanta's DITC.

During the ANOCA GA, General Younès CHETALI, VP NOC Tunisia, President, Tunisian Athletics Federation formally invited ATLANTA's DITC to Co-Host the 7th African Junior Athletics Championships to be held in Tunis from September 1-4, 2005.
