Coventry University Includes the ATLANTA 1996
In their 4 year-long European Union Funded CARNiVAL Project (2013-2017)

Coventry University (UK) selects the ATLANTA 1996 as a priority case in their 4 year-long study (2013-2017) known as the CARNiVAL project funded by a grant from the European Union (EU) looking at the impact of mega events such as the World Cup, the Olympic Games and their Legacy, the Super Bowl, Mardi Gras, etc. From May 14th to May 19th, 2014, a delegation of 5 professors and researchers from Coventry University met with the ATLANTA 1996 Team, met with a number of the officials of institutions involved with the Atlanta 1996 Centennial Olympic Games (Chair of the Fulton Board of Commissioners, Office of the Atlanta Mayor, ACVB, etc.), and visited a number of sites were the Olympic games were held (Stone Mountain/tennis, GA Tech/swimming and diving, MBC/field hockey, etc.). Their second visit to Atlanta will take place at the end of the year.
